What Every Employer Must Know About The FCRA

Complimentary Webinar - 1 Hour

The fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a U.S. federal law (codified at 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.) that regulates the collection, dissemination, and use of consumer information, including consumer credit information and was passed in 1970.

This law is enforced by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and private litigants. This law is often misinterpreted and in some cases, employers know very little about its existence and implications, if not followed to the letter of the law.

By participating in our webinar, you will learn all you need to know about the main provisions of the FCRA that affect employers, “Disclosure” and “Adverse Action.” We will discuss the common misperceptions of the FCRA.

Additionally, we will review most common issues that result in litigation associated with misuse of the FCRA, as well as Best Practice pointers to reduce your liability.
